A citizen of Georgia can register to vote at their registered address; however, if their actual residence differs and they cannot reach the registered location on election day, they have the option to change their registration address.
To update their registration address, the citizen must present specific documents at the Justice House or a public center, or they can complete an application online 👇
The documents required to be filled out on-site include:
- Consent from the property owner.
The applicant can visit the Justice House first, followed by the property owner for confirmation. It is permissible for the applicant and property owner to attend different Justice Houses for this process
or
- Written confirmation from two adult individuals who can attest that the citizen has been residing at the specified address for the last three months. Documentation confirming the identities of these individuals will also be required.
Cancellation of registration is possible through:
- he individual’s application to register at the new address;
- A request from the property owner or a written application from two adult, legally competent individuals.
